FAQ about Competera pricing

01

How much does Competera cost?

Competera pricing is scope-based. The final cost depends on the number of SKUs, markets, and channels covered, the edition (Adaptive AI or Contextual AI), selected add-ons, the support package, and the deployment model. Because every retailer's portfolio and maturity stage are different, Competera builds a custom proposal rather than publishing fixed rates. Contact the team for a proposal tailored to your scope.

02

What is included in each Competera package?

Competitive Data includes SLA-controlled competitive price monitoring with AI-powered product matching and a pay-per-use billing model. Adaptive AI adds a statistical pricing engine driven by price elasticity, smart segmentation, a no-code Rule Builder, and Pricing Campaigns Management. It requires 3+ months of transaction history. Contextual AI adds a neural-network engine modeling 20+ demand factors, What-If Simulations, Long Term Demand Forecasting, Promo and Markdown Pricing Optimization, and AI-Contextual Analytics. It requires 24 months of historical data.

03

Can I start with Competitive Data and upgrade later?

Yes. Competitive Data, Adaptive AI, and Contextual AI share one workspace and one data foundation. A retailer can start with competitive price monitoring and move to price-led or demand-led optimization when ready. Data, configuration, and team capability carry forward at every step.

04

How long does implementation take?

Competitive Data is live within 14 days. Pricing Platform implementation (Adaptive AI or Contextual AI) takes up to 60 days depending on scope. Scaling to a new channel takes approximately 1 week.

05

Does Competera offer a pilot or proof of concept?

Yes. Every engagement begins with a pilot, and commercial KPIs are agreed upfront before the pilot starts. Competera has a 100% pilot success rate across its client base of 50+ international retailers.

06

What data do I need to get started?

Adaptive AI requires a minimum of 3 months of transaction history. Contextual AI requires 24 months. For Competitive Data, the retailer supplies a product catalog with full product titles, product URLs, brands, categories, and at least one identifier (GTIN, EAN, MPN, or UPC) to activate the match quality SLAs. Products without an identifier are still matched, but fall outside the SLA guarantee.
07

What integrations does Competera support?

Inbound: direct database connections (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SAP HANA), API, SFTP, Snowflake, and Databricks. Outbound: REST API, on-demand CSV export, scheduled email reports, and custom connectors including Amazon S3, SFTP, and Google BigQuery. Security: IPSec/VPN tunnels, whitelisted IPs, and SSO via OIDC (for example, Okta).
08

What is the difference between Guided and Managed deployment?

Guided means the retailer's team leads the implementation and ongoing operations, with Competera providing support. Managed means a systems integrator runs the process, with Competera providing support. Both models are available for any edition. Competera recommends Managed as the default for faster time to value.
